Only use the desktop version of Microsoft Excel to edit these documents. Opening the files in Google Sheets will break the macros!

Physical ESXi Host Checks
[ For each Dell host ]
Check heartbeat indicator light - it should be solid blue. If not please follow the section iDRAC Checks.
Check RAID lights on HDDs - they should have a solid green status light and a flashing green activity light. If not please follow the section iDRAC Checks.
Physical Synology Checks
[ For each Synology device ]
Check Synology is powered on.
Listen for any beeping coming from the device - if beeping can be heard, follow the section Synology Checks.
Check the status lights on the device - If there are orange or abnormal lights, follow the section Synology Checks.
UPS Checks
[ For each UPS device ]
UPS - check via web UI or Powerchute, check physical unit for warning lights.
iDRAC Checks
Under the Dashboard tab, the Health Information section should show System is Healthy.
Under the Dashboard tab, check the Recent Logs section underneath for any recent incidents.
Synology Checks
Open the Synology web interface via IP address in a browser > open Storage Manager > select HDD/SSD, select a drive and perform the following:
Select Health Info > note the Power-on time (hard disks should be replaced every 3 years / 26000 hours as part of preventative maintenance).
Select History > scroll down and check the graph for Bad Sector Count. If there are bad sectors, replace the drive.
Windows Server Backup (WSB) Checks
Open the WSB application on each server.
Check backup status was successful and investigate the cause of any failures.
Check how far back do the backups go? Does the size of the LUN / VHD need to be increased?
Test Restore (monthly) from each server and backup method.
Acronis Checks
Open the Acronis portal and sign in with your Interm IT email address > select Cyber Protection > select Devices > sort by Last Backup column to check all scheduled backups.
For backups, check that each server is showing as Online (not greyed out).
If agent is offline: download the agent here and run on the affected server > select the Update option.
If the ISP has changed: Uninstall the agent from the server, and reinstall using the instructions Standalone Installation (manual).
Check that each backup completed at the scheduled time.
For AV, check that agents are deployed and that the IIT Protection Plan for Endpoints is deployed.

Check antivirus status and licence usage.
Check remote backup quota usage.
Update Drive Checks.
Check SIMS / FMS / Discover database backups (located in D:\SIMS-SP\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL11.SIMS2012\MSSQL\Backup)
Check Solus 3 UI for any out-of-date versions of SIMS running on agents. Remove any that are not required.
Check Exclusions Sender log. In add/remove programs, installation date should be newer than January 2018. If not, uninstall current version, then download latest version here.
Check user disk quota for all users and extend where necessary.
Check WSUS status if located on this server.
Check WSUS status if located on this server.
Check SSL Certificate expiry date.
Clean projector filters / Smartboard cameras / C-Touch / M-Touch sensors bars.
Update IT inventory.
Update DR document.
Update ICS document.
