Symptoms

When attempting to map the InVentry device to a user login using the command:

net use \\<InVentry device IP> /user:InVentry <InVentry password>

You receive the error:

"No more connections can be made to this remote computer at this time because there are already as many connections as the computer can accept."

Solution

At the InVentry device:

1. Bottom left, double-tap the InVentry logo > enter unlock code (this is usually the 4-digits of the InVentry console's name. You can obtain this from DHCP) > tap Shutdown InVentry.

2. On the Windows desktop, a red box will appear stating that InVentry is starting > tap the red box to cancel startup of InVentry for 60 minutes.

3. Start > type cmd > right-click, Run As Administrator.
