This is how you can allow a conflict on bookings (booking in a calendar at the same time)for a 'room' in outlook by editing through Powershell!
Step 1: Open Powershell as an administrator and connect to exchange
You need to open up Powershell with administrator privileges and connect to o365 exchange. The link on how to do this is below: https://community.spiceworks.com/how_to/161192-how-to-connect-to-exchange-through-powershell
Step 2: Identify properties of mailbox
You need to identify the properties of the mailbox as it stands. Type in:
Get-CalendarProcessing –Identity name of mailbox | fl
This will bring up a list of results. The key result you're looking for is 'AllowConflicts' on the left hand side of the window. Make sure that the row next to it states 'False'. If it states 'True' then there is no issue and you will not need to do this.
Step 3: Change conflict state
To turn conflicts on, simply type in the command of:
Set-CalendarProcessing name of mailbox –AllowConflicts $True
This will allow calendar entries to be made side by side.
Step 4: To turn off
To turn off the conflict state, type in the following:
Set-CalendarProcessing name of mailbox –AllowConflicts $False
This should turn off the conflict state
1. Start > Run > type ms-settings:workplace > OK. Sign out of all accounts.
2. Start > Run > type %localappdata%\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Licensing - delete all files here.
3. Open an Office 365 application and sign in with the user's primary account (e.g. mwhitman@school.sch.uk and NOT a secondary account e.g. head@school.sch.uk).
4. A window will show.
If the school is Cloud9, tick Allow this organisation to manage this device > select Yes, all apps.
If the school is On-Premise or Hybrid, untick Allow this organisation to manage this device > select Yes, all apps.
If you are adding a secondary account (e.g. another account into Outlook), repeat step 3 but then do the following:
4. Untick Allow this organisation to manage this device > select No, this app only.
Symptoms
Outlook 2016/2019 with Office 365 account keeps prompting for password. After entering it, an error pops up "Your computer's Trusted Platform Module has malfunctioned. If this error persists, contact your system administrator with the error code 80090030."
Solution
Give permissions for the user to access the mailbox:
Login to Office 365 Admin Centre.
Add Read and Manage and Send As permissions for the user.
Add registry entry to save sent emails from the shared mailbox to shared mailbox's Sent Items (instead of own user's).
Allow shared mailbox to be set as the default account:
File > Options > Mail > scroll down to Send messages > tick Always use the default account when composing new messages.
